ERP Business Development Manager

Sanaullah & Co., a distinguished advisory and consultancy firm with over 15 years of excellence in accounting, taxation, and business solutions, is seeking a proactive and visionary ERP Business Development Manager for its new ERP venture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic alliances, and expanding ERP product reach in local and international markets. The position requires a strong understanding of ERP systems, market dynamics, client requirements, and SaaS sales strategies. The role combines business acumen, client relationship management, and ERP domain knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify new leads for ERP implementation and SaaS licensing in local & international markets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the firm’s ERP and accounting platforms.
  • Create strategic partnerships with resellers, consultants, and business chambers.
  • Prepare and lead pitch presentations, demos, and proposals tailored to industry-specific ERP needs (trading, manufacturing, construction, services, etc.).


Client Engagement & Solutioning:

  • Lead requirement discussions and scope analysis sessions with prospective clients.
  • Translate client needs into ERP functionality maps and assist in product fit-gap analysis.
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and ERP solution capabilities.
  • Act as the bridge between the client and development/implementation teams.


Marketing and Positioning:

  • Collaborate with marketing team to create ERP-specific brochures, whitepapers, and use-case campaigns.
  • Represent the firm at relevant ERP/IT conferences, webinars, and trade forums.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and product innovations.


Team Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the product development and consulting teams to ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Support product roadmap enhancements based on customer and market feedback.

Qualification

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / IT / Computer Science from HEC-recognized university.
  • MBA (Marketing/IT) or partially qualified CA/ACCA/ICMA will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Finance or ERP certifications such as (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) or CRM systems preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical & Functional Knowledge:
  • Understanding of ERP modules (GL, AP/AR, Payroll, Inventory, CRM, Projects, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP architecture and subscription models (SaaS).
  • Knowledge of financial accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) will be beneficial. 
  • Business & Leadership Skills:
  • Strong B2B selling, negotiation, and contract management capabilities. 
  • Excellent client handling, stakeholder communication, and consultative sales skills. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in sales-cycle and pre-sales activities.
  • Tools & Platforms:  
  • CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce), Proposal Management Software, ERP Demo platforms. 
  • Good command over MS Office Suite and cloud collaboration tools.
  • Good to Have:
  • Existing network in the SME/Enterprise segment across Karachi 
  • Prior experience with launching or scaling ERP product offerings. 

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP business development or SaaS sales in a consulting or ERP firm.
  • Demonstrated success in closing large-scale ERP deals across industries.
  • Experience in requirement gathering and RFP response for ERP tenders.
